Minneapolis didn’t sip “espresso” this year.

On Wednesday, Spotify released its “2024 Wrapped,” giving users a personalized reflection of their year in music with top artists, songs and more. According to the music streaming app, the five most popular songs listened to in Minneapolis in 2024 were:

  • “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey

  • “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone

  • “I Had Some Help” (feat. Morgan Wallen) by Post Malone

  • “I Remember Everything” (feat. Kacey Musgraves) by Zach Bryan

  • “Stick Season” by Noah Kahan

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” ranked among the most streamed songs in almost every other major city except Minneapolis.

While the jury is still out on what the rest of the state is listening to, Minneapolis had the same songs as St. Louis and Denver and three things in common with Nashville and Detroit.

Spotify said other results from 2024 Wrapped showed that country music is catching on and reaching a larger audience thanks to artists like Beyoncé and Post Malone, and that eight of the 10 most-streamed albums were by women.

Taylor Swift was the most streamed artist on Spotify in the US and around the world, and her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology, was the most streamed album in the US

“The Joe Rogan Experience” was the most streamed podcast in the US and “A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J. Maas was the top audiobook in the US.
