EVANSVILLE – The University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball team will be on the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers on Tuesday night.

The Screaming Eagles, who won the Ohio Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles last winter, are 7-1 this year and are on a six-game winning streak. Ali Saunders (13.4 PPG), Vanessa Shafford (12.4) and Meredith Raley (12.4) help lead one of the OVC’s top offenses. Triniti Ralston (9.3 PPG, 3.3 RPG) is also a consistent playmaker for the Eagles.

Indiana, an NCAA Sweet 16 finalist last season, is 5-3 this winter. Yarden Garzon (13.8 PPG), Lilly Meister (11.6), Shay Ciezky (11.0) and Chloe Moore-McNeil (10.9) all averaged double-digit scoring for the Hoosiers, while Meister also averaged a team-high of 6.8 boards per game. One of the Hoosiers’ best players, Sydney Parrish, injured her left leg in the Battle 4 Atlantis against Baylor on November 23rd.
