I’m sorry that this time frame isn’t truly representative of how quickly everyone who invested in $HAWK lost all their money. It happened before she even put out her announcement. Hawkcoin investors have lost their money in negative times.

5:19 PM EST

I’m certainly not the best person to give advice on cryptocurrencies. And I bet Hawk Tuah isn’t either. I’m willing to bet that Hawk Tuah (who by all accounts seems to be a pretty innocent girl trying to do nothing more than make the most of her 15 minutes of fame) is not the mastermind behind a scam involving her fan base plundered for millions of dollars via Hawkcoin. But as little as I know about the world of cryptocurrency, I know enough to know that when you know nothing, there are a few crypto bros (or crypto bitches) you don’t know and trust VERY Well, I’m asking you to be the face of a coin that thousands of people would foolishly throw significant amounts of money into…you probably shouldn’t fucking do it. I can’t help but think that might be the case with our friend Hawk Tuah here.

But we cannot say with certainty that Ms. Tuah herself is not among the token insiders who have retained 97% of $HAWK’s supply and are actively selling it to steal cash. Maybe this was Hawk Tuah’s master plan all along. Make viral blowjob jokes, become famous, start a podcast, build a following, scam millions of followers, and rely on the fact that the cryptocurrency world is so unregulated that you won’t face any legal consequences.

According to community notes… and according to public information that tells us exactly who is holding and selling all of the “available” Hawkcoins, it is actually members of the Hawktuah team who are profiting from them. Despite what Hawk Tuah copied and pasted for us.

Things aren’t looking good for Haliey. Just a few days ago, her main concern was what Wiz Khalifa thought about the content of her Pookie’s DMs. Now the internet masses are at her internet doorstep with their internet torches and pitchforks, demanding that she be sent to real prison.

Maybe it’s because I’m extremely ignorant. Maybe it’s my inner misogynist telling me that this pretty little blonde girl from the south couldn’t possibly have the wherewithal to pull something like that off. Perhaps she created her entire image precisely for this moment, when, under the cloak of ignorance, she can instantly make millions of dollars. But I can’t help but feel that this girl is being massively exploited.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what comes of it. I’m still not sure when someone can actually go to prison for crypto fraud. But from what I’ve learned, this has the makings of a classic carpet puller.

Coindesk – What is a Crypto Rug Pull?

A rug pull is a type of exit scam in which a team raises money from investors and the public by selling a token, only to then quietly shut down the project or suddenly disappear, stealing the raised funds and killing “investors” (i.e leaving their victims behind. with worthless tokens.

Robberies can be extensively orchestrated, with nefarious actors using social media influencers and hype-generating campaigns to lure as many victims as possible.

What people made absolutely real time for.

Creditcoin – Carpet pulling is considered theft and fraud in most jurisdictions. Agencies such as the SEC and FBI actively crack down on rug scammers, and the penalties are harsh. If you are caught and convicted, you will likely face criminal charges and years in prison.

Your assets will be confiscated. Any winnings you make will be paid back to the victims.

You will have a criminal record that will last you a lifetime. Employers won’t want to hire you. Depending on the extent of the crime, you could face decades behind bars.

It only makes sense that there is a crypto scam somewhere in Hawk Tuah’s story. I personally don’t wish Hawk Tuah a prison sentence if she is truly ignorant about all this. Not that ignorance is an excuse. But I have a heart. I am not in favor of people being taken advantage of. No matter how objectively funny it would be if Hawk Tuah’s story ended with her behind bars for financial crimes.

Moral of the story here: If you are newly internet famous and are approached by SOMEONE who wants to use your likeness to create a cryptocurrency. Just say no. Make money fast the old fashioned way (OnlyFans). Unless you really know what you’re doing.
