Say hello to reimagined versions of iconic Disney characters, as the studio has unveiled a new preview of fresh takes on tried-and-true characters Snow White Staple in the live-action version of the 1937 animated classic.

It depicts the conflict between the title character (Rachel Zegler) and her sinister stepmother, the new Evil Queen (Gal Gadot). Snow White The trailer also features an ominous glimpse of the villain’s magic mirror, which appears to the infamous evildoer after Her Majesty asks, “Who is the fairest of all?”

Later, the clip features clear full-length shots of the dwarves, with Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Sneezy, Bashful and Dopey encountering Snow White for the first time after she settles in her cottage amid the Evil Queen’s plan to kill her.

Later in the new trailer, the clip shows the dwarves’ journey into the jeweled mines, as well as Zegler’s soaring vocals at the end of the clip.

The preview ends with a spooky preview of the Evil Queen’s second form, commonly known as the “Old Witch,” which also features an appearance of a juicy poison apple.

“I’m sorry, my love,” Gadot’s “Old Hag” asks Snow White at the end of the footage. “Did I scare you?”

Zegler’s casting as Snow White was met with racist backlash. Critics pointed to the fact that the Brothers Grimm’s original Germanic fairy tale from 1812 describes the character as a girl “with skin as white as snow.”

The West Side Story The actress has repeatedly spoken out against such criticism, including in an interview with Weekly entertainment.

“The reality is that the cartoon was made 85 years ago and is therefore extremely outdated when it comes to the idea of ​​women in power roles and what a woman is fit for in the world,” Zegler said at the time. “So when we reimagined the actual role of Snow White, it was about ‘the fairest of them all,’ meaning who is the fairest and who can become a fantastic leader.”
