Megan Hilty impresses audiences with a Christmas performance at the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting Special

Megan Hilty certainly knows how to shine on stage and entertain people at the same time. The actress and singer looked radiant as she appeared on NBC’s Christmas In Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting special.

“The Death Becomes Her” star wowed the audience with her singing as she performed “Hard Candy Chrismas” during the Dec. 4 event. She was introduced by her other co-stars from the aforementioned project, Jennifer Simard and Christopher Sieber.

The show was made extra special this year as Kelly Clarkson hosted the ceremony. In addition to the aforementioned artist, the event also features an all-star line-up for the big event. Celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Backstreet Boys, Little Big Town, Thalia and many more made it onto this list.

It seems that viewers really enjoyed Hilty’s performance. The stage actress has always enthralled the audience and this time was no different. Just like her brilliant singing, she also paid attention to the right tone when it came to her clothing.

The actress and singer wore a red dress with a V-neck and wide puffed sleeves. She tucked her hair into a side parting, wore statement earrings, applied silver eyeshadow, and completed her look with red, bright lipstick.

For the uninitiated, the actress, known for her stage performances, has also made a name for herself on television, appearing in several projects including The Desperate Housewives, Bones, The Good Wife, The Closer , “Smash” and many more.

The Tony Award-nominated actress graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a bachelor’s degree in theater and joined the Broadway company of Wicked as Glinda Standby. After a year on Broadway, she continued touring “Wicked” and in the Los Angeles production from 2007 to 2009, according to KGET.
