Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo are taking turns firing back at critics

The Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro left critics and detractors at a loss for words after their performance against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night.

Tyler Herro had a monster third quarter, knocking down seven three-pointers. The Heat dominated the Lakers with a 134-93 win.

The Heat led almost the entire game. Herro scored 31 points, five rebounds and four assists.

“Many media and fans have followed him in the past because of his past performances,” Adebayo said. “This is his moment right now. He’s having his moment. When you see someone having something like that, they enjoy my moments, so for me it’s just mutual feelings. I’m happy for him. He’s out there doing what he does, which is get buckets.”

Adebayo had a comeback game. He finished the game with 14 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists while shooting 75 percent.

Herro praised his teammate while also suggesting he eliminate the noise around him.

“I just liked how aggressive he was and how assertive he was,” Herro said. “He’s a handful to deal with when things go downhill with him in transition, and then when he breaks down the defense, he’s able to make plays. So, just clear your head and get all the noise out of your head to stop reading whatever it is you’re reading and just be bam. He’s one of the top three centers in the NBA for a reason and he just needs to keep being himself.”

The Heat have a 10-10 record and have lost two games.
