Weather: Bitterly cold and windy

GO. GOOD MORNING. HERE’S WHAT YOU SHOULD DO. THIS MORNING. DRESS IN MANY LAYERS. We have wind chills below zero across the board. So grab the first layer. This is moisture wicking. SO PUT THIS UP FIRST. THEN THE BIG SWEATER. THEN THE BIG COAT. And don’t forget the last step, which in my opinion is the most important step. YOUR EXTREMITIES, YOUR HAT, YOUR GLOVES, YOUR BOOTS. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR THE FUZZY SOCKS TOO. THIS WILL HELP YOU STAY NICE WARM IF YOU WAKE UP WITH A WIND COOLER. IN WAUKESHA IT FEELS LIKE NINE UNDER DOWN, NINE UNDER. ALSO IN FOND DU LAC AND FOUR DOWN IN MILWAUKEE. THE REASON? Apparently we had this huge cold front yesterday. We didn’t get much snow. IN MILWAUKEE WE GAINED EXACTLY 0.2 INCHES AND I SAID IT WOULDN’T GET MUCH SNOW. The biggest impact would be this wind. And the boy did it. The wind just blew around. We had these snow squalls yesterday. We still have some wind. It’s not as bad as yesterday, but the 33 mph wind in Milwaukee is making for a chilly wind this morning. AND ALSO ANOTHER DANGER to think about. THERE ARE SOME PLACES WHERE THERE WAS A LITTLE MORE SNOW. HERE YOU CAN SEE THAT IT’S MOSTLY ON THE GRASS HERE, BUT ANY PLACE WHERE MAYBE SOME SLEEP OR A WINTER MIX HAS BEEN FOUND, IT HAS MADE UP TO THE GROUND. And then as cars drove over it, it warmed up and then froze back to the ground. So I would just say that neighborhoods should just pay attention to slick spots on and off ramps. The main streets are in amazing condition. I CHECKED 511. EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD IN GREEN, BUT LOOK AT THE NEIGHBORHOODS WHERE THERE COULD DEFINITELY BE SOME SLIPPERY SPOTS. And as I mentioned, I drove this morning and yes, it is windy. You can feel it with both hands on the steering wheel. You may feel your car shaking quite a bit, but be careful of any slick spots you might see on the on and off ramps. A LIVE VIEW OF MILWAUKEE, NOW 15 DEGREES WITH NORTHWESTERN WIND OF 25 MILES PER HOUR. HOW TO CREATE A BELOW ZERO WIND COOL. The only good thing about today is that it’s not snowing and at least it’s sunny, right? Temperatures will rise to over 20°C with chills and I’ll feel like a teenager all day long. That’s why we call it disrespectful. TODAY THE WIND IS COOLING. And I say that because it’s just the beginning. BEGINNING OF DECEMBER. We don’t usually get this cold that quickly and tomorrow will be better. AND THIS WEEKEND. OH YES, I’M BRINGING 50 ON SUNDAY. I’m like, you know what? 50 sounds good because the rain will continue until later in the day. SINCE YOU’RE PLANNING YOUR WEEKEND, SATURDAY IS THE SELECTION DAY. There will be a chance for some evening sprinkles on Sunday, but I don’t think that will come through until after about 9pm. LOOK AT THIS. YOU WILL SEE THIS SYSTEM COMING FROM THE SOUTH. There’s a little chance of rain Sunday evening, but it’ll be good all day. That’s why I think we can make it to 50 on Monday. We should be fine, but we have these chances in the rain and in the rain with these systems just circling us to the southeast of us. THERE IS POTENTIAL. It could still change, but for now everything is far from us. So my seven-day forecast reflects that. But be aware of these types of changes as we are so close to some of these systems where if the forecast deviates it could likely change. So here’s the seven day forecast, like I said, you can see the little candy canes up there. This is for Saint Nick. WE HAVE THIS TEMPERATURE. I went out and hit a 50 on Sunday. ON MONDAY STILL 48. And then we cool down as this system
