Honda is recalling nearly 206,000 Passport and Pilot vehicles that may be experiencing fuel leaks.

The automaker announced the move on Thursday, saying the affected 2023-2024 Passport and 2023-2025 Pilot sport utility vehicles “may have an incomplete connection between the fuel filler neck tube and the fuel filler tube, which could result in the two components at in the event of an accident.” This can cause fuel to leak and increase the risk of fire or injury.”

According to a recall report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the potential problem was due to an “out-of-sequence process” in fuel line installation that “prevented the formation of a complete connection between the fuel neck tube and fuel line.”
