Today, McDonald’s made a big announcement that the chain’s fans are excited about. This morning on Good morning AmericaJoe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA, said a discontinued favorite will return to the menu next year.

“The snack wrap will be available again in 2025,” announced Erlinger. “This has a cult following, I get so many emails about this product in my inbox – it will be back on the market in 2025.”

McDonald’s snack wraps were a popular lunch option that was unfortunately discontinued in 2016. Each wrap consisted of crispy or grilled chicken wrapped with lettuce, grated cheese and a sauce of choice – a simple but pretty irresistible midday snack. After thousands of customers asked for returns, the chain is honoring their wishes. Our deputy food editor Alex Loh is particularly excited about the return of the snack wrap.

“I remember eating snack wraps as a kid – it was a quick, easy meal after exercise,” she said. “My favorite was the ranch chicken wrap. I’m excited to see whether the returnees will taste as good as I remember.”

The Crispy Chicken Ranch Snack Wrap was one of the standard snack wrap flavors over a decade ago. There is now a wide range of McDonald’s wraps available in international restaurants, from sweet chili chicken to spicy vegetables. If American customers are lucky, we might see some exciting new packaging as part of the big return.
