Andrew Whitworth destroys Aaron Rodgers in an epic rant during TNF

The 14th week edition of Football on Thursday evenings featured two of the NFL’s best teams that happened to play in the same division. But before the Green Bay Packers played the Detroit Lions, the team was eliminated Amazon Prime Video had a lot to discuss.

One of the topics that came up in the pregame conversation concerned the Packers under head coach Matt LaFleur, but without former starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Fans still remember the time before Rodgers’ departure. During this time, when fans seemingly knew the end was near, many questions were asked, but none more poignant or direct than what might become of the Packers if Rodgers leaves.

There were questions about whether or not Jordan Love could become the franchise quarterback in Rodgers’ place. The question became whether the team had enough talent (or would be able to attract enough talent) to surround Love with the right kind of weapons.

But the big problem had to do with LaFleur. Ultimately, what type of coach is LaFleur? Could he prove to be a legitimate force without Rodgers? Or would Bill Belichick lose Tom Brady?

Former NFL offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth addressed this topic and responded quite positively. He noted that the Packers hired Jeff Hafley and signed Josh Jacobs, who also made an impact. But after Whitworth detailed these additions, he lit a fire and watched it grow.

“It wasn’t that long ago that we were talking about, ‘Who is Matt LaFleur if Aaron Rodgers leaves the Green Bay Packers?’ “Well, Luke Getsy got fired twice, and Aaron Rodgers got four wins in two years as a Jet.”

“At worst, Matt LaFleur has nine wins in two straight seasons. He won a playoff game. “I think we know exactly who Matt LaFleur is, and that’s one heck of a football coach,” Whitworth concluded.

Well, there’s not much more to say on the subject, is there? Whitworth pretty much summed up the explanation that LaFleur is a great football coach, while continually snubbing Rodgers.
