2 Powerball tickets worth $50,000 sold in New Jersey

A pair of Powerball tickets worth $50,000 were purchased in New Jersey for Wednesday’s lottery drawing.

One was sold at the Quik Mart on Knopf Street in Linden, Union County. The other was sold at Welsh Farms on Main Street in Farmingdale in Monmouth County, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

No one across the country hit the $240 million jackpot on Wednesday, pushing the top prize for the next Saturday night drawing to an estimated $260 million with a cash option of $123 million.

No tickets for the $1 million second prize were sold for Wednesday’s drawing either.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 1, 23, 25, 28 And 61. The Powerball was drawn 13 with a power play by 2x.

Furthermore, no one in the entire country has won the second jackpot of $10 million. These winning numbers were: 14, 35, 43, 48 And 54. The Double Play number drawn was 1.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who purchases a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and at least 1 Million $ to win, while the odds of winning a third prize are 913,129 to 1 or at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is estimated at $579 million, with a cash option of $276.6 million.
