SKIMS hits the slopes with a collaboration with The North Face

Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS breaks into winter fashion with one of its most technical collections yet: a Brrr!Challenging collaboration with The North Face, in which the solutions-focused label reimagines the legacy outerwear brand’s archival styles in its signature, figure-flattering fits and tonal color combinations.

“This (collaboration) marks SKIMS “The first-ever foray into the world of winterwear and partnering with The North Face allowed us to leverage their expertise in the category,” Kardashian said. “The collection is a combination of functional and flattering clothing solutions for the season. Having spent a lot of time on the slopes, developing this collection definitely inspired me and I can’t wait to wear these pieces on my next trip.”

The limited-edition range combines SKIMS’ signature body-shaping and compression base layers with The North Face’s performance-focused outerwear. The collection includes a down jacket, a fleece jacket, a down onesie, a waterproof shell pant, an adaptive bodysuit, a DotKnit top and bottom, and accessories such as hats, gloves and insulated mules.

“At The North Face, innovation and functionality are always our top priority, and the collaboration space is no exception,” said David Whetstone, Director of Collaborations and Energy at The North Face. “With Flies overWe have maintained first-class construction and materials and this collaboration was born out of mutual admiration.”

Photographed by Vanessa Beecroft, the collaboration campaign features the collaborative collection featuring an ensemble cast descending the slopes of snow-capped mountains in Chile. In a second campaign, shot by Donna Trope, which has not yet been released, Kardashian herself will wear the line’s hero pieces.

The North Face x SKIMS collection will be available online and at both brands’ retail locations starting December 10th. Sizes range from XXS to 3X, while prices range from $60 to $1,200. Take a look at the lineup in the gallery above.
