Fortnite OG Chapter 1, Season 1 is coming to PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch and Android.

Fortnite OG is taking things back old school, reintroducing map locations, items, and weapons from the early days of Fortnite Battle Royale.

However, unlike previous trips down memory lane, Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite OG is here to stay.

In fact, Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 has a release date of December 6th and is set to release at 1pm GMT in the UK, although other reports suggest it could release at 3pm GMT.

There is a possibility that Epic Games could announce a different release date, in addition to the server outages leading up to Fortnite OG’s release. So keep checking back for more information.

The old school game mode will feature shorter, more focused seasons compared to the main game, with the first season running from December 6th to January 31st.

Season 1 will launch with Solos, Squads and Zero Build modes, while Ranked mode is expected to launch later this season.

As you can see in the map image below, the attractions include Pleasant Park, Anarchy Acres, Wailing Woods, Tomato Town, Greasy Grove, Dusty Depot, Flush Factory, and Fatal Fields.

That’s in addition to Moisty Mire, Lonely Lodge, Salty Springs and the classic Retail Row.

According to Epic Games, every tree, car, chest and item should be in its original place. However, the Zero Build version will add Ziplines and Ascenders to make getting around easier.

The game will also retain some of the “corners” that were present in the original, although other gameplay elements and quality of life improvements will remain consistent with the current version.

For example, building mechanics will be “consistent with today’s battle royale,” while players will also be able to sprint, slide, cloak, smash doors, and move while healing.

Things like Reboot Vans and Sniper Scope Blinding will also be present, while maximum construction resources will be set to 999 and the shotgun dual pump will be enabled.

Speaking of weapons, fans can expect the return of old classics such as the vanilla assault rifle, burst assault rifle, scoped assault rifle, pump shotgun, tactical shotgun, pistol, revolver, submachine gun and tactical machine gun .

There are also the repeating sniper rifle, the semi-automatic sniper rifle, the grenade launcher and the rocket launcher as well as damage traps, ceiling zappers and wall dynamo.

Needless to say, Chapter 1, Season 1 arrives alongside a smaller-than-usual Battle Pass that includes various skins and items.

As you can see from the trailer above, the new skins include Renegade Rebel, Aerial Assault Bomber, and Skull Commander.

You can also unlock new gliders, back blings, and harvesting tools, not to mention emotes, sprays, and wraps.

Remember that starting with Chapter 6, any XP earned in other Fortnite modes can also be used to unlock items in the OG Battle Pass.
