Unusually warm temperatures for Denver, the next snow is coming

Although meteorological winter began Saturday, this week may feel more like fall in Denver, according to the National Weather Service.

Dry, sunny skies are forecast Tuesday through the weekend, when the next snowfall is expected in Denver.

According to NWS forecasters, Denver will see highs between 50 and 60 degrees throughout the week, with the warmest weather arriving on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons.

According to meteorologists, temperatures are expected to peak around 60 degrees in the city on Tuesday. That’s almost 10 degrees less than the record from 2010, but also 14 degrees more than normal on December 3rd.

This week, light winds will blow through Denver in the afternoon, with a maximum speed of around 6 mph.

Temperatures will also peak around 60 degrees in Denver on Saturday, according to NWS forecasters. The second warmest day of the week will be December 7, 15 degrees above average and 10 degrees below the 1906 record.

A snowstorm moving into Colorado later this week could reach Denver on Sunday and last through Monday, according to NWS forecasters.
