Police in Colombia announced this week the arrest of a woman nicknamed “The Doll.” Local media reported that she was a notorious contract killer employed by a criminal gang linked to several murders in the country.

Police in the Magdalena Medio region released a video on social media this week showing the woman, identified by local news outlet Diario del Norte as 22-year-old Karen Juliet Ojeda Rodríguez, in custody along with a male suspect.

Police said the woman – identified as “La Muñeca” or “The Doll” – and the male suspect, whom they identified by the alias “Leopoldo,” were in custody for possession of a 9mm handgun that was shot through Ballistic tests were carried out to determine whether it was used in crimes in the city of Barrancabermeja.

Lt. Col. Mauricio Herrera called the arrests “important results in the fight against murder.”

Diario del Norte described the 22-year-old woman as a deputy of a gang called “Los de la M,” which is fighting with other criminal groups for control of the drug trade in the country’s northern Santander region.

The newspaper reports that “La Muñeca” entered the criminal underworld at the age of 18 and, at the time of her arrest, was in charge of coordinating targeted assassinations, even killing her ex-partner, a man named “Orejas.” Ears.”
