Jameson Williams had fun at Jayden Reed’s expense. The Green Bay Packers wide receiver was suspended in a 34-31 loss to the Detroit Lions on Thursday night.

Williams commented on an Instagram post asking if Reed made it to Detroit after failing to make a catch and only having one target.

This is a throwback to earlier this year when Reed appeared on Amon-Ra St. Brown’s podcast and promised to dance in Detroit for the Packers’ visit to Ford Field.

Although the Packers scored 31 points, they didn’t have many standouts on offense. They only had 298 total yards of offense, with Christian Watson the only pass catcher to have more than 50 receiving yards (114 on four receptions).

Reed’s performance against the Lions is part of a more concerning trend for Green Bay. The 24-year-old has just 73 yards on eight catches in four games since Week 11. He still leads the team in receiving yards (693), but his usage is very unusual for a No. 1 option.

The second-year wideout set Seasonal lows total offensive snaps (25) and percentage of offensive snaps played (50 percent).

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur dismissed the team’s need for a defined No. 1 receiver when asked during the preseason.

While the quantity formula has served the Packers well overall this season, there’s a reason many of the top offenses in the NFL have a go-to guy in key situations.

Reed is the closest thing the Packers have, but his performance in the team’s biggest game of the year so far was very concerning when looking at the teams they could face in the playoffs.
