Um, no offense to NFL fans, but be sure to check your rulebook.

As you may have seen on Thursday night, Dan Campbell made a really bold decision on fourth down with under a minute left in the Detroit Lions’ 34-31 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Instead of kicking the field goal with the game tied and the Lions facing 4th-and-inches, he kept the offense on the field and asked David Montgomery to get the first down and THEN kick the field goal. It worked, but almost didn’t when QB Jared Goff stumbled and still somehow got the ball into Montgomery’s hands.

Some fans thought Goff should have been booed for his loss, but this isn’t college football. If so, they would have a case:
