The curtain has come for Jacob Trouba on Broadway.

According to Larry Brooks of The Post, the Rangers defenseman was traded to the Ducks on Friday, ending a months-long fractious relationship between the captain and the team.

Defenseman Urho Vaakanainen and a fourth-round pick mark the reported return of the veteran blueliner, whose full salary will be covered by Anaheim.

The 30-year-old reportedly nixed a move to the Red Wings over the summer, and his $8 million cap hit over the next two seasons, coupled with a lifeless start with the Rangers, made him a candidate for one another departure.

Earlier in the day, The Post learned that Trouba would not play against the Penguins on Friday night for “roster management reasons” as Victor Mancini was recalled from AHL Hartford to fill his spot.

Trouba’s move could just be the first move by GM Chris Drury, who recently let the rest of the NHL know he’s open for business when it comes to his underperforming roster.

In more than five seasons with the Rangers, Trouba scored 31 goals and 136 points in 364 games, often dividing fans with borderline goals.
