Trump orbiter and white nationalist influencer Nick Fuentes charged with battery

Nick Fuentes – a well-known white nationalist, anti-Semite and self-proclaimed incel who rose to prominence by uniting the far-right around Donald Trump – has been charged with assault for allegedly spraying a 57-year-old woman with mace and pushing her to the ground on the stairs of his house in a Chicago suburb, according to documents obtained by The Smoking Gun.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on November 10 when a Fuentes resident was visiting his home. Marla Rose, a 57-year-old resident of Berwyn, Illinois, learned where Fuentes lived after his address was posted online — the result of widespread backlash against the bigot after he posted, “Your body, my choice. Forever.” on Twitter after Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 presidential election.

Rose told Vice that she initially only planned to visit the address and see if he had been the subject of protests or had received shipments of diapers or menstrual products, as was threatened online. When she arrived, another person who seemed similarly curious about Fuentes’ home encouraged Rose to ring his doorbell and talk to him.

Rose said she wanted to ask Fuentes, “Why do you feel comfortable saying the things you say?” But he opened the door and immediately pepper-sprayed her before she could confront him. He then allegedly pushed her down the three concrete steps leading to his door. “It was obvious that he was very scared, probably extremely paranoid,” she told Vice. “I am 1.70 m tall. He’s not a big man himself, but I’m 57 and he’s 26.”

Rose took a video recording with her phone during the incident, and in the footage, Fuentes can be seen picking up her phone from the ground, bringing it into his house and stomping on it.

The police arrived and took statements from both parties.

According to documents obtained by The Smoking Gun, Fuentes told police that he “posted a political joke online and has been receiving death threats online over the past three days and that people have been showing up at his house unannounced” and that he was “in fear.” “It was for his life.” He was allegedly uncooperative with police when asked questions about the confrontation with Rose.

After the incident, which made national headlines, Rose told police that she received a suspicious sealed envelope in the mail that she refused to open. When police opened the envelope, they found a number of documents related to Donald Trump, Nick Fuentes and “other memes.” She also posted on Facebook that she and her husband were victims of an attempted beating at their home. This is a harassment tactic aimed at getting the police to respond to an incorrect situation in a specific location.

Fuentes is due in court on the battery charge on December 19th.
