LeBron James is questionable for the Lakers-Hawks due to foot soreness

LeBron James is listed as questionable for the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday because of left foot soreness, and Austin Reaves will miss a fourth straight game because of a left pelvis bruise, the team announced Thursday.

James has played in all 22 games for LA so far in his 22nd season, averaging 22.3 points, 9.0 assists, 7.9 rebounds and 4.1 turnovers.

He managed to get out of a scoring loss against the Miami Heat on Wednesday by hitting 12 of 18 from the field, but the Lakers were still dominated 134-93.

LA is 1-2 on its current four-game road trip that ends in Atlanta and has surpassed 70 points in its two losses to Miami and the Minnesota Timberwolves – the worst point differential of any two-game stretch in franchise history.

James said his goal is to play in all 82 games this season, something Lakers coach JJ Redick said the team could do again after the loss to the Wolves.

“I don’t know that it’s in his best interest or our best interest for him to do that, but if he’s good and he’s feeling good, he should play,” Redick said.

Atlanta has won five games in a row to move up to 6th place in the Eastern Conference standings.
