Could Hawk Tuah Girl Be Arrested for Her “Crypto Scam”? The truth behind the viral claim
Social media users said Hawk Tuah girl Hailey Welch is being arrested for crypto fraud.

As people suffered a huge loss after purchasing a Hawk-Tuah girl’s cryptocurrency $HAWK, calls for Hailey Welch’s arrest emerged on social media. A law firm stepped up to help victims who lost millions to the memecoin, which crashed after viral meme girl Hawk Tuah launched it. Hailey Welch said they committed no intentional wrongdoing. Many social media users exposed her actual act and called it a scam.
“The team did not sell one token and not 1 KOL received 1 free token. We tried to stop snipers as best we could by charging heavily at the start of launch on @MeteoraAG. Fees have now been reduced,” Welch posted midway through the game.

“Hailey I’m not kidding when I say this, you’re most likely going to jail,” one social media user said. And several others threatened her with a lawsuit.

What did the Hawk Tuah girl do?

Digital coin Hawk reached a market cap of $490 million shortly after its launch on Wednesday before suddenly losing more than 95% of its value within hours.
YouTube cryptocurrency researcher Coffeezilla accused Welch of defrauding investors using a “pump-and-dump” scheme, in which the people behind a coin inflate its price before launching and then sell it for a profit. Welch said her team has not sold any of the tokens.
Coffeezilla said Hailey Welch’s team actually targeted and exploited her fans because those fans were those who had never been in the crypto space and they didn’t target crypto bros because they would most likely not buy their coin. “These people were not prepared to take any responsibility” for the “Hawk Tuah scam,” he claimed.
In 2021, Kim Kardashian was fined $1.26 million by US regulators for failing to disclose that she had been paid to run an ad for a cryptocurrency program called EthereumMax.
If Hailey Welch is sued and it is proven that she defrauded her fans, she will be punished, but claims that she would go to prison are currently just speculation on social media.
