Ryan Anntoinette is a weather anchor at KTVB in Boise, Idaho.

For nearly three years, I had the pleasure and privilege of accompanying Treasure Valley locals as they rode through town on Boise’s Mix 106. I wore a few hats during my time in radio, but what I loved most was laughing, connecting with Idahoans and sharing their incredible stories, nonprofits and businesses. I can’t wait to do the same with the Channel 7 audience.

Star has been my home for almost a decade, but I grew up in a tight-knit neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. PSA: Deep dish pizza is a tourist thing. As the “Jan Brady” of five children, our mother filled our home with love, laughter, books and music, which she played in her 33s and 45s. I am also the proud daughter of a Marine Corps veteran and retired Chicago firefighter who helps me every day find humor and God in all things.

After almost 20 years, my journey as a military spouse is coming to an end. My husband, my rock, is retiring from an incredible career in special operations where I had the opportunity to live abroad and travel the world. Learning the enduring value of grace under fire (and bourbon) was a side benefit.

We have two kind-hearted and funny children who, fortunately, love dogs, sleep and cheese as much as we do.

Cheers to my spectacular KTVB team and dancing in the sleet like no one is watching.
