(Gray News) – A reality TV star is reportedly battling Alzheimer’s and a blood disorder.

According to the Duck Dynasty family, 78-year-old Phil Robertson has been struggling with health issues recently, which have also resulted in him not appearing on the family’s podcast.

Jase Robertson revealed his father’s diagnosis on Friday’s “Unashamed with The Robertson Family” podcast episode.

“According to the doctors, they are sure that he has a blood disorder that is causing all sorts of problems,” Jase Robertson shared. “And he has early-stage Alzheimer’s.”

The family said Phil Robertson is struggling with his health diagnosis and wants to return to the podcast, but unfortunately continues to experience pain even when he tries to walk.

“I said, ‘Phil, you can barely walk around without screaming in pain,’ and I said, ‘Your memory ain’t what it used to be.’ And he said, ‘Tell me about it,'” Jase Robertson said.

The Robertson family said their father has good days and bad days and they would find ways to make him more comfortable and help with his memory.

“Duck Dynasty” was a popular television series that ran from 2012 to 2017 and followed the Robertson family, known for their successful duck hunting business.
