Jane Doe, who accused Diddy of rape, reveals her name

Anna Kane, the ex-wife of Edmonton Oilers player Evander Kane, has spoken publicly about her sexual assault case against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

In an amended statement of claim filed in Federal District Court in Manhattan on Friday, December 6, and obtained by PEOPLE, Kane used her real name after U.S. District Judge Jessica GL Clarke ruled that she must do so in order to protect her To continue the lawsuit against the mogul.

“I had hoped to use a pseudonym to seek justice for what happened to me as a teenager,” Kane said in a statement to PEOPLE. “The defendant’s demand that I give my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I will not be intimidated. I am ready to move forward and hold those who harmed me accountable.”

Kane sued Combs, former Bad Boy CEO Harve Pierre, and a third unidentified employee for sex trafficking and gang rape when she was 17 in December 2023 – a month after Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed her own bombshell sexual abuse lawsuit and sex trafficking charges had been filed against her. Diddy, 54, has denied both allegations and reached a settlement with Ventura the next day.

In the filing, Kane alleges that Pierre approached her in a lounge in the Detroit area, Michigan, and convinced her to take a private jet to Teterboro, New Jersey, with him and a third assailant. When she arrived at Daddy’s House Recording Studio in Manhattan, Kane claimed she was given drugs and alcohol before being “viciously raped” “one by one,” the lawsuit says.

Things changed when she reportedly started losing consciousness repeatedly. Kane claims the three men took turns raping her in the bathroom while she begged them to stop. Eventually, she claims that she fainted, later woke up on the floor in the fetal position, and had vaginal pain. After she “got her bearings,” the lawsuit says, Kane was taken back to an airport and flown to Michigan.

Combs denied Kane’s allegations in a statement to PEOPLE shortly after the lawsuit was filed last year. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he said in a statement in 2023.

“For the last few weeks I have sat in silence and watched as people tried to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. I have had disgusting allegations made against me by people looking for a quick payday. Let me be clear: I have done none of the terrible things I am accused of. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

“As alleged in the complaint, the defendants exploited a vulnerable high school teenager as part of a sex trafficking scheme in which they provided her with drugs and alcohol and transported her on a private jet to New York City, where she was murdered by the three individual defendants “The depravity of these heinous acts has surprisingly left our client scarred for life.”

Last month, Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil ordered prosecutor Candice McCrary to use her real name after she sued Combs for allegedly forcing himself on her after meeting him at a photo shoot in 2004. Other civil cases are still underway as different judges weigh their own decisions when the alleged victims can go forward anonymously.

“Ms Kane has lived with the memories of that fateful night for 20 years. During this time, she suffered extreme emotional distress that impacted nearly every aspect of her life and personal relationships,” the amended complaint states. “Given the courageous women who have come forward against Ms. Combs and Mr. Pierre in recent weeks, Ms. Kane is doing the same.”

Last week, Diddy was denied bail for the third time and remains in a federal prison in Brooklyn following his arrest in September on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. His next hearing in federal court will be December 18, 2024.

As for Kane’s past – in 2021 – she accused her ex Evander Kane of domestic violence and sexual assault, claiming he canceled NHL games he attended as a left winger for the San Jose Sharks after betting on them.

Evander vehemently denied these claims in a statement on Twitter in August 2021. The NHL later found no evidence that he had bet on games. The couple separated in 2020 and Anna filed for divorce in July 2021.

As for Anna Kane’s civil lawsuit against Combs, Judge Clarke dismissed all of her claims against Daddy’s House Recordings, Inc. and Bad Boy Entertainment Holdings, Inc., finding that the 2022 changes to the Gender-Based Violence Protection Act expanded liability Corporate defendants, does not apply retroactively to alleged events that occurred in 2003. Therefore, all corporate liability in her case has been removed and is now focused solely on her alleged personal injury claims against the defendant.

An initial pretrial conference is scheduled for January 9, 2025 and a jointly developed case management plan is scheduled to be submitted by the parties on January 2, 2025.
