Anthony Edwards makes Steph Curry statement after Warriors-Timberwolves

On the second night of their meeting, the Golden State Warriors fell 107-90 to the Minnesota Timberwolves as they trailed by as many as 23 points on a night in which their offense failed to get going. Golden State shot less than 40% from the field and 30% from three because forward Andrew Wiggins left early due to injury.

Anthony Edwards was the star of the game tonight in San Francisco. He scored 30 points on a game-high four three-pointers, showing that the NBA’s three-point leader has his own ability from beyond the arc. In his postgame interview, Edwards shared with ESPN the on-court interaction between him and Stephen Curry.

“He’s definitely talking nonsense out there, man!” Edwards said when asked if Curry even talks nonsense on the court. While Edwards got the best of Curry on Friday night, there’s no denying that Curry has earned the right to talk trash to anyone in the league in this league.

Curry has shown in big moments this year that he has no problem opening his mouth to the opposing team. Whether it was his big fourth-quarter effort against the Mavericks earlier this season or his late-game heroics at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the 36-year-old guard remains one of the sport’s best players.

He will have his chance at redemption on Sunday night when the Timberwolves and Warriors face off again to round out the weekend at Chase Center.
