Fans tease Mitchell Starc with ‘KKR’ chants during Adelaide Test. Star’s Funny Reaction Viral. Regard

A video of Mitchell Starc from the ongoing Adelaide Test between India and Australia is going viral on social media. In the clip that emerged, Starc, who was playing near the boundary line on the first day of the second Test, was involved in a joke with a group of fans. The fans teased the Australian pacer by shouting ‘IPL’ and ‘KKR’, to which he responded in a funny way. The fans picked up the pace with chants of “IPL, IPL” before switching to “KKR, KKR”. After hearing the name Kolkata Knight Riders, his former IPL team, Starc responded with a gesture of money with his left hand.

Notably, Starc was bought for KKR for Rs 24.75 crore ahead of IPL 2024. The player was released by the franchise after the issue and has now been bought by Delhi Capitals for an impressive Rs 11.75 Crore.

Australia pace spearhead Starc said on Friday that sticking to his mantra of attacking the stumps with the new ball helped him strike early on the opening day of the pink-ball Test against India.

Starc was the standout performer on a lively Adelaide pitch, delivering a superb performance of 6/48, bowling India out for just 180 runs.

Starc feels Test cricket has changed somewhat since he joined the Australian team as many young, talented and fearless cricketers have emerged from the Indian Premier League and made an impact in Test cricket.

“Yes, the game has changed. The game can change. I guess this is partly the T20 era, isn’t it? “Some of these guys have grown up through IPL cricket and there’s no fear or expectation of being very good. “They’re good right from the start and from the time they get into international cricket they’re quality players, whatever how old they are,” he said.

Citing the example of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has four Test centuries at 22, Starc said: “We obviously saw a bit of Jaiswal before last week and then obviously had a fantastic one in the second innings (in Perth) and in.” Some of the shots that Kumar (Nitish Reddy) played today were some special shots.

“Whether it’s T20 cricket or getting into Test cricket or next-generation no-fear cricket, I’ve been around long enough to see that change a little bit. And yeah, whether it’s less fear or just a bit more confidence when you get into international cricket, you have to ask the batters, but I’m sure it’s exciting to see.
