Kate Middleton beams as she spreads Christmas cheer after health battle

Kate Middleton is spreading Christmas cheer after enduring a scary year being diagnosed with cancer and recovering from major abdominal surgery.

On December 6, the Princess of Wales hosted the fourth annual Together at Christmas singing service. The holiday concert was held at Westminster Abbey in London, and Middleton attended the service alone before meeting her husband, Prince William, and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Middleton looked alive and well while wearing a long red coat with a large black bow attached to the collar. She paired the look with pearl earrings, heeled boots and her signature blow-out look.

Photos from the event on Friday evening were uploaded to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram account, along with the caption: “An evening to come together and celebrate this festive season as the ‘Together at Christmas’ service takes place in the Westminster Abbey returns.”

“Shining a light on people from across the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities,” the statement continued.

The caption noted that the public could watch the Christmas Eve service on ITV and ITVX Official.

Middleton made rare comments about her health during the Together at Christmas event. The Princess was asked by pop star Paloma Faith to talk about the challenges she has faced this year.

“I didn’t know this year was going to be the year I just had,” Middleton said in a video recorded by Channel 5 News UK and uploaded to X, formerly Twitter.

“The unplanned,” Faith interjected.

“Exactly the unplanned,” Middleton replied approvingly. “But I think a lot of people have had such challenging times this year.”

It’s been a tough year for the whole family. Middleton’s carol service, “Together at Christmas,” was a public performance for her three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

It was reported that the three young royals had notes with them to hang on the Kindness Tree outside the venue.

Before the event began, William and Kate’s official Instagram account posted photos of Westminster Abbey “looking beautifully festive ahead of today’s Together at Christmas Carol service.”

The Princess of Wales held her first Together at Christmas service last year before being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Christmas day at Church of St. Mary Magdalene The appearance at the estate last year was the princess’s last public appearance for months before she revealed her diagnosis.

The royal family’s stay at Sandringham is a long-standing tradition, with the late Queen Elizabeth usually retreating to the estate from December to February, when her father, King George VI, died.

Charles, Queen Camilla, William and Middleton and their children are expected to travel to Sandringham before Christmas and stay there until New Year.

“It will be like any other Christmas and will focus on the young family,” Grant Harrold, Charles’ former personal butler, told the New York Post in November. “They are very family oriented, like the late queen, so that will be their focus.”

People reported in early December that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had not received an invitation from the royal family to come to Sandringham in Norfolk for their annual Christmas vacation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to spend Christmas in the United States, where they live.

The report came just as Middleton posted an emotional holiday message on her Instagram, writing that a “special letter that reflects on the meaning of love, empathy and how much we need each other in the most difficult of times.” invited guests will be sent to their second Together at Christmas Carol service at Westminster Abbey next month and to the “fifteen Community Carol services across the country where I thank participants for all they do for others.”

The Sussexes have not spent Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham since 2018, the year of their wedding. The couple left England in 2020 and eventually settled in California.
