A win there would not only give the Tigers their ninth conference title under Swinney, but also allow Clemson to advance to the 12-team College Football Playoff as one of the five top-seeded conference champions. All that stands in the way of the Tigers’ hopes of another CFP title is SMU, which has an impressive 11-1 record and an undefeated record in ACC play in its first year in the conference.
