Cavs vs. Hornets: Preview, Odds, Injury Report, TV

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Cavs (20-3) roll into the Spectrum Center Saturday afternoon riding a three-game winning streak and holding the best record in the NBA. The launch date is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Powered by a deep rotation and dynamic spread offense, Kenny Atkinson’s side has consistently overwhelmed opponents, particularly those reliant on a single star.

The Charlotte Hornets (6-16) face an uphill climb. Since they have already played seven games, they will be without LaMelo Ball, who is one of the league’s best scorers with 31.1 points per game. With Ball sidelined with a left calf strain, Charlotte will have to look for offensive answers, leaning heavily on shooting guard Brandon Miller while utilizing Cleveland’s reinvigorated defense and tireless outside shooting.

For the Cavs, this matchup not only offers the opportunity to extend their winning streak, but also to experiment. Atkinson could use this game to test lineups, refine offensive plays and manage minutes for key players when leadership becomes comfortable.

As Cleveland continues to find ways to improve its already top-notch 3-point efficiency and balanced offensive attack, the Hornets will have a hard time countering without their primary playmaker.
