“Rats have rights:” Sorry Nosferatu, PETA really wants you to know that for some reason rats didn’t cause the bubonic plague

PETA is doing nonsense again. This time they act as if the depiction of rats is included Nosferatu is harmful to the creatures that run New York City. To put it bluntly, they’re mad because the movie claims that rats spread the plague (the movie doesn’t claim that).

In NosferatuWhen Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård) comes to a town, the rats run rampant in the town so that Orlok can feed on humans. They all believe that the plague is raging in their city because the rats have taken over the city and the people are becoming “sick” as a result. Disease is a vampire in the middle and Orlok can control rats in the universe. So the idea that the rats carry the plague is not the actual message of the film. It shows a power that Dracula actually possesses in Bram Stoker’s novel.

However, that didn’t stop PETA from making a big deal about it. Rats are being blamed for the bubonic plague as a new study suggests humans caused most of the plague’s spread. This isn’t surprising, we know that humans transmit diseases, but that doesn’t relieve rats either. For PETA, they maintained and reinforced the “don’t blame the animals” mentality. Here, too, the film doesn’t really transfer the rats to the plague anyway. It is Orlok who controls rats.

But they made a statement. PETA emailed a statement to reporters outlining their plans for a rat at the premiere of Nosferatu with a sign saying “Rats have rights!” We didn’t cause the plague!” Guys, it’s not that serious. Maybe check out the source material from Nosferatu before you make a false statement about rats.

PETA really wants us to care

As we know, PETA is not great. But the reaction to a scene about rats in the film is really big. Here too, everything is in Orlok’s hands. So your anger at the message being spread is stupid because a vampire does anything. Will PETA make a statement against Count Orlok next? Or what’s wrong. Lauren Thomasson, director of animals in film and television at PETA, released a statement about the film.

“In real life, a human is no more likely to be injured or killed by a rat than by a vampire, and misrepresenting these animals as harbingers of death denies viewers the chance to see them as intelligent, social, and loving individuals to see who they are,” the statement said. “The only “Pests” that moviegoers have to deal with are directors who subject animals to the chaos and confusion of a movie set, and PETA encourages everyone to see through these shameful stereotypes and show rats the respect they deserve.”

So if you are worried about the rats Nosferatube it not. It’s okay. They are controlled by a vampire and do not bring the plague. Orlok brings the plague. Hope this helps! And rats spread the plague just like humans! Science is wild, PETA!
