Oregon football offensive lineman Marcus Harper II hints he’ll be back for the Big Ten championship game

INDIANAPOLIS — Oregon’s offensive line could be back at full strength in the Big Ten championship game.

Ducks offensive lineman Marcus Harper II, who has missed the last three games with a left knee injury, hinted via social media that he will be back for Saturday’s conference title game (5 p.m., CBS). Harper posted a video on Instagram of boxer Gervonta Davis doing a backflip to Jay-Z’s “The Ruler’s Back” and playing with the lyrics “I am back.”

Harper, Oregon’s most experienced offensive lineman, has played 612 snaps this season, starting two games at left guard and seven games at right guard. He injured his left knee in the fourth quarter of the Nov. 2 game at Michigan and hasn’t played since. He was listed as questionable for last week’s game against Washington and suited up, but did not play.

Redshirting junior Dave Iuli started the final three games of the season at right guard in place of Harper and played 126 snaps. Redshirt sophomore Kawika Rogers has shared time with Iuli and played 120 snaps this season.
