It was the first of three shows on the final stop of their worldwide Eras Tour.

“Vancouver is actually the very last city we will be playing on the Eras Tour, did you know that?” Swift asked the packed crowd at BC Place.

The fans screamed and then Swift explained the reasons why her team chose certain destinations as their final stop.

“We spent all of 2024 traveling the world,” including Australia, Europe and Asia, she said.

“And we thought, ‘Where were the crowds so generous, so welcoming, so warm – where they know every single word, not just singing it, but shouting it?’ “Oh, we have to go back to Canada.” And now here we are in beautiful Vancouver.”

She concluded by saying that there have been many Friday nights on the tour, but Vancouver will be the last Friday night as the fans cheered and hollered.

Excited fans gathered outside BC Place hours before doors opened on Friday.

The Swifties were among the 250,000 people expected to move in and out of the stadium district Friday through Sunday. In anticipation of the crowds, the city has closed several streets around BC Place and TransLink has expanded transit service.
