Ahead of its theatrical debut on December 20th, Paramount Pictures unveiled two brand new clips from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 at CCXP 2024 in Brazil, providing an in-depth look at Shadow.

The footage begins with a helicopter flying over the city as we see Sonic, Tails and Knuckles arrive. A rogue alien is on the loose and Sonic wonders how they can find him.

The trio exits the helicopter and Sonic jokes that he doesn’t know if they’re after Godzilla or Hello Kitty. They parachute down and land on the ground while everything around them is completely chaotic. Tails notices that the energy levels are off the charts and right after a lobster flies through the air that Knuckles catches, Shadow emerges from the fire.

While Sonic says, “See that?”, Shadow says, “You’re a mixed bag.” Sonic mentions that Shadow looks like him, to which Shadow says, “I don’t look like you, you look like me.” Shadow warns the trio that they should leave, and Sonic says that they don’t want to fight him. Knuckles, however, she actually says.

At this point the fight begins and Knuckles lunges at Shadow, who teleports him and knocks him back with ease. Sonic says he can’t take out everyone at once, but he can do just that with ease.

Shadow rides away on a motorcycle and warns the crew not to follow him, and even though Tails warns Sonic not to follow him, he does. Shadow shoots Sonic from the motorcycle and the pair race through the city, with Shadow saying, “The more you talk, the harder I want to hit you.” Shadow launches his bike into the sky as Sonic jumps on and they collide as the Power goes out in the city.

The second clip begins with Tom and Maddie relaxing at home and pursuing some of their new hobbies, including baking bread and knitting. Tails, Sonic and Knuckles arrive via a portal and ask for their help on a top secret mission, and they agree without hesitation.

Tails brings up the Weapons Headquarters plans and Sonic plans to run in super fast. Unfortunately, there are energy fields that can burn them. Tails, for all his wisdom, has a plan to disable the shield via the server room. Having to get past lasers that cut him into a million pieces, Sonic asks, “Can’t we just get Tom Cruise to do that?”

They all then travel to London, and Knuckles threatens to force his way in. Maddie and Tom make their way to the server room, and Tails picks up two heat signatures on the way to the vault. At this point both Robotniks show up as they were already in the vault.

Sonic starts running, but Tails hasn’t deactivated the shields yet. Sonic runs across the Abbey Road zebra crossing and then across Buckingham Palace, asking “Where are you going to Hogwarts?” He then flies through the air and is about to collide with the sign when Tails catches him and through a gap throws to safety.
