Lehigh is defeated by Drexel by a score of 119-68.5

PHILADELPHIA – The Lehigh women’s swimming and diving lost to Drexel 119.5-68.5 on Saturday morning at the Daskalakis Athletic Center. The Mountain Hawks fell to 5-3 on the season.

Lehigh recorded three first-place finishes on Saturday. senior Willa Werwaiss and Junior Mairin Ludwig continued their winning streak and have now claimed a victory in every competition they have competed in this season.

Werwaiss swam first in the 150-yard freestyle (1:24.70) and Ludwig took first in the 300-yard IM (3:19.91).

First year Zoe Davies was Lehigh’s other win on Saturday, placing first in the 50-yard breaststroke (30.65).

The Mountain Hawks had a three-four stroke in the 50-yard freestyle Claire Coughlin finished third (25.40) and Lily Van Der Sman tied for fourth (25.73).

Lehigh also had a three-four-five shot in the 50-yard butterfly Caitlin Deitch came third (26.59), Clara Moschella came fourth (26.59) and Annie Gao came fifth (26.89).

The Mountain Hawks were less than a second away from finishing first in the 200-yard medley relay as Moschella, Davies, Deitch and Anushree Ghate took second place with a time of 1:47.82.

Deitch and Ludwig also placed second in the 200-yard freestyle mixed relay (1:30.64), alongside men’s teammates Aaron Williams and Timmy Norris.

Lehigh will complete its non-league schedule at Marist on January 11th.
