Global Girl Group VCHA’s KG Files Lawsuit Against JYP Entertainment for Mistreatment; Agency says: “Differences in…”

VCHA’s KG has filed a lawsuit against JYP Entertainment. The member of the global girl group herself announced this through her social media account and claimed that she was mistreated by the agency. She accused the company of poor living conditions and unfair pay. So far, JYP Entertainment issued a short response, saying that there is a certain indifference between the two sides.

On December 7, KG shared a story on her Instagram: “Yesterday I filed a lawsuit because I decided to terminate my contract with JYP Entertainment and leave VCHA following incidents of abuse and mistreatment by certain employees .”

She added that she felt the unhealthy environment was affecting her mental health and therefore her productivity. She also accused the agency of providing poor living conditions, claiming that such mistreatment even led to one member attempting to take his own life.

“I do not support an environment that promotes eating disorders and causes members to self-harm.” Her shocking claims have raised many questions about JYP Entertainment, one of the current leading companies in K-pop.

Furthermore, KG revealed that she had already made the decision in May 2024, but was still waiting to be released from her contract and is now taking legal action. Another of her revelations that caught the attention of netizens was the unjustified salary demands. The VCHA member wrote, “I accrued enormous corporate debt while being paid very little for the intense work and extreme restrictions on our personal lives.”

KG promised that she would continue making music regardless of the situation. In her letter, she expressed her concern for the remaining members while also thanking fans for their support.

Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment responded after the shocking post: “We have not yet received KG’s official complaint, so we are currently in the process of confirming the details.” In addition, the agency admitted that it had previously tried to remove a discussion from the The singer’s perspective and explained that there were “differences of opinion”.

JYP Entertainment will now handle the situation according to the legal process.
