Bethlehem, Pennsylvania – The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s track and field team began its indoor season as a trio of student-athletes competed in the pentathlon at the Fast Times Before Finals Meet on Friday.

Because the Ducks competed against competitors from Widener, Stockton and Lehigh, no team score was recorded.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Isabella Shanley placed fifth overall with 2,847 points in five events. The sophomore finished second in the 800-meter dash (2:29.78), fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.04) and long jump (4.74 m), and sixth in the high jump (1.47 m). ) and in the shot put (7.52 m). Stephanie Ryazanova (2375 points) and Maya Lapinski (2328 points) took sixth and seventh place respectively.

Ryazanova tied for fourth place in the 60 hurdles (10.2), fifth place in the 800 m run with 2:46.17, seventh place in the high jump (1.38 m) and long jump (4, 58 m) and eighth place in the shot put (5.78 m). . Lapinsk placed fourth in the high jump (1.5 m) and placed seventh in the 60 hurdles (10.92), shot put (6.82 m) and long jump (4.71 m), as well as the 800 -meter run (3:01.59) placed eighth.

The Ducks face off in two matches tomorrow. They complete the Fast Times Before Finals while also making their way to the Alvernia University Winter Meet.
