At the end of the weekend the rain returns

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Sunday will be a milder day, but there will be rain in the late hours of the day.

Sunday starts with temperatures around 40 degrees and some morning sun. The highest values ​​are reached in the 50s. Clouds will thicken quickly and rainfall will occur from west to east in the late afternoon and continue overnight. It may rain heavily at times overnight.

A few lingering showers are possible early Monday, but most of the day will be just cloudy. Highs will be even warmer in the lower to mid 60s. Further showers will move in overnight and continue into Tuesday.

On Tuesday, isolated rain showers are expected throughout the day. Temperatures will remain milder in December with highs still in the 50s.

With a cold front moving away from our area Tuesday evening, freezing temperatures will return Wednesday morning. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will only reach the low to mid 40s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds on both days. Low temperatures will be back in the 20s overnight.

It will be a little milder on Friday with high temperatures around 50 degrees. Partly cloudy skies are expected in the afternoon.

NEXT WEEKEND

A mix of sun and clouds is expected on Saturday. At this point a shower cannot be ruled out. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s.
