NBA fans react to Russell Westbrook’s performance in the Knicks-Nuggets game

The Denver Nuggets hosted the New York Knicks in Colorado on Monday night.

The Nuggets lost by a score of 145-118 and were 9-7 in their first 16 games.

Russell Westbrook finished the game with 27 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block while shooting 9/16 from the field and 4/7 from three-point range in 26 minutes of playing time.

Many people reacted to his appearance on social media.

StatMuse: “Russell Westbrook in the fourth quarter:

24 PTS
8-11 FG
3-4 3P

His most points in a single quarter of his career.”

@TheWestWolfPod: “Russell Westbrook’s defense is, in my opinion, desperately needed by the Nuggets for more minutes. Also his passing skills.”

I believe Russell Westbrook is the Nuggets’ best defender, behind only Aaron Gordon, who is currently injured. I talk about all aspects of defense.

@SkyForcein4: “Westbrook is single-handedly trying to drag the Nuggets back into this game.”

@teddygreeniii: “Westbrook’s athleticism has to be in the top 2 percentile for humans. Longevity matters.”

@TownsMuse: “Westbrook is a hilarious player, he’s doing 110% while being 30% behind.”

@ZekeNYKnicks: “Wow, Russell Westbrook still has that burst of speed in transition.”

@MilesDoesntCare: “Russell Westbrook is setting up a clinic”

@JSG206: “We took that Westbrook to the vet lol he was an absolute monster for us.”

The Nuggets play their next game on Wednesday night when they visit John Collins and the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City.

Westbrook is in his 17th NBA season (and playing for the Nuggets for the first time).
