Giants-Saints inactive: Malik Nabers will play against Saints

Wide receiver Malik Nabers (hip flexor) will play for the New York Giants on Sunday when they host the New Orleans Saints, although his role is expected to be limited.

Nabers, the Giants’ leading receiver, suffered his injury during practice on Thursday.

The Giants will also be without left tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, who will miss his second straight game with a quadriceps injury, and Chris Hubbard, who started in Eluemunor’s place on Thanksgiving Day against the Dallas Cowboys. Hubbard has a knee injury. That could mean Joshua Ezeudu starts at left tackle.

Cornerback Deonte Banks (rib), linebacker Bobby Okereke (back) and defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches (neck/shoulder) were out Friday.

Starting cornerback Dru Phillips will also miss the game with a shoulder injury

The Giants made a number of roster moves on Saturday to complement their injury-depleted roster.

Over the past two weeks, the Giants have placed three defensive tackles – Dexter Lawrence, Armon Watts and DJ Davidson – on injured reserve.
