Latest bowl predictions for Florida Football on Selection Sunday

Florida Football is in position to clinch a prime bowl berth when matchups are announced later this afternoon.

The Florida Gators (7-5) have rattled off three straight victories to close out the regular season and are fielding a quality player in freshman DJ Lagway at quarterback that bowl organizers and television networks can sell as the bowl season begins.

Lagway, the 2023 Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year, improved to 5-1 as a starter after UF closed the regular season with a 31-11 win over rival Florida State last week. He has passed for 1,610 yards with 11 touchdowns and 7 interceptions this season.

Defensively, Florida has given up an average of 14.7 points over the last three games and has recorded 18 sacks and nine takeaways in that span.

Florida is about to make its 49th bowl appearance in school history. The Gators are 24-24 all-time in bowl games. In UF’s last bowl appearance, Florida lost 30-3 to Oregon State in the 2022 Las Vegas Bowl.
