NFL Betting Week 14 – Props That Pop – We’re betting on a pair of Titans and another big day for Saquon Barkley

Double: Levis has had a short streak of success lately. He has scored two touchdowns in three of his last four games and appears to be on the rise as a passer. His yardage over the four-game span varied between 175 and 295 yards, which is why I’m not looking at a yardage prop here.

Levis has calmed down from the turnovers that plagued him early in the season, throwing just two picks in the last four games. Additionally, Sunday’s opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, only have five interceptions all season! Most importantly, the Jaguars gave up 24 passing touchdowns, the second-most in the entire NFL this season. This matchup prepares Levis to continue his progress and not only take care of the ball, but also find the end zone.

The sportsbooks obviously don’t share the same optimism as me, as this one is at +145, but I fully believe in the Jaguars’ current winning streak coupled with a poor pass defense. I’d be tempted to combine this with an always-available touchdown prop for Calvin Ridley or Nick Westbrook-Ikhine just to add some juiciness to the whole thing, but for the sake of this column, I’ll stick to Levi’s chances of hitting that one.

Loza: It looks like a lost season for the Cincinnati Bengals, but that hasn’t stopped Burrow from throwing the ball with delicious abandon. With both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins healthy and Burrow trying to make up for an overly generous defense, he has rushed for 300 yards on three straight attempts. He also racked up 48 rushing yards during that span.

Burrow faces a lively Dallas Cowboys squad on Monday night. The Cowboys have allowed the most rushing yards to opposing QBs. With Micah Parsons back healthy and bringing the heat, Burrow is considering using his legs to extend plays. With a projected total of 49.5, there is enough back and forth to get Joe Cool to 300 total yards.

Saquon Barkley OVER 131.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-118)

Double: I don’t think there is a better running back in the NFL right now than Barkley. I also don’t think there’s a worse rush defense in the NFL right now than the Carolina Panthers, which means this is a match made in heaven. Carolina has given up over 2,000 yards on the ground this season, the most in the NFL. Barkley topped that line six times, with another four appearances totaling at least 111 yards from point of attack. In 2024 alone, he had eight games over 100 rushing yards, and in two of his last three games he recorded 198 and 302 yards from scrimmage, respectively. Somehow he just gets better as the season goes on.

Bucky Irving just torched this defense for 185 total yards, and with the utmost respect to Irving, he doesn’t even come close to running back Barkley. This is an absolutely great spot for the Philadelphia Eagles running game. My biggest fear is that Philly gets up early and Barkley ends up having to sit out a large portion of this game, but if that’s the case, I would imagine Barkley will be a big part of making that happen. Anytime the NFL’s best RB goes up against the NFL’s worst run defense, you have to find a way to be active in that game, and I expect Barkley to hit the over with that prop.

Aaron Jones OVER 2.5 receptions (-135)

Loza: The Atlanta Falcons defensive front was finally able to build pressure in Week 13 by sacking Justin Herbert four times. If this trend continues, Sam Darnold may have to reach for a low-mileage outlet more than a few times. Additionally, CB Mike Hughes is expected to return, which will give Atlanta’s secondary a much-needed boost. All of that fits well with Jones, who is averaging three catches per game (RB11) and has collected a total of six grabs in his last two appearances. Much has been made of Jones’ struggles as a rusher (and Cam Akers’ poaching presence), but the vet’s work as a pass catcher remains undisputed.

Wide receiver props

Calvin Ridley longest reception OVER 26.5 yards (-110)

Double: Ridley and the rest of the Tennessee Titans receiving corps are in a good position against the Jaguars. I usually look at the overall length of the receive drive, but I just couldn’t say no to this prop with the longest receive performance. First of all, it may seem like 26.5 yards is a lot for a single reception, and to be honest, it is. But that doesn’t deter me.

Ridley has six receptions for 26.5 yards so far this season. Sure, I’d love it if that could be a little higher, but I know Ridley’s talent, and five of those six deep connections have come in the last seven games (he had 21 catches in the two games he was successful in). and 25 yards). less than this number).

However, this Jaguars team eschews distance like it’s going out of style. They have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards to WRs this season, and most importantly, they have allowed 17 receptions of at least 27 yards or more, the fifth-most in the NFL. Combine that with the fact that Levis has 10 completions of at least 27 yards in the last four games and you can see why I’m interested in this prop. Of course, you could also go with NWI’s longest reception at 18.5 yards, but I think that’s a Ridley spot. The game itself may not be particularly fun, but this game should definitely contain some major highlights. Give me the over.

Jakobi Meyers over 59.5 yards (-135), Tre Tucker longest reception over 16.5 yards (-105)

Loza: I’m creating an argument here because of Meyer’s potential ankle problems. Assuming he leaves (Antonio Pierce seemed to indicate the 28-year-old wideout would get the green light after practicing on a limited basis Friday), Meyers would top 60 receiving yards in a plus matchup in Tampa Bay to reach. The veteran receiver has averaged over 80 receiving yards per game since Davante Adams was traded to the New York Jets and has surpassed 90 receiving yards in consecutive appearances. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have allowed the third-most receiving yards (3,325) of the season, including 298 to the Panthers in Week 13.

Additionally, Tampa Bay has allowed the eighth-most receptions over 20 yards (39) so far in 2024. That works well for Tucker, who has hauled in a pass of 20 or more yards in three straight games. Interestingly, Tucker has averaged 17.5 yards per reception in his last two games. As a 6.5-point underdog, Las Vegas’ pass catchers will likely remain busy.
