Traffic delays are expected for the highly anticipated Border Showdown basketball game against KU

Traffic delays are expected as fans flock to Mizzou Arena for Sunday’s Border Showdown men’s basketball game between the Mizzou Tigers and the Kansas Jayhawks

The meeting point is on Sunday afternoon.

The University of Missouri website recommends fans travel via I-70 and US 63. Stadium Blvd. Due to the game, overloads may also occur.

Much of the land near Mizzou Arena is reserved for donors to the Tiger Scholarship Fund. Free parking is available for fans at Truman’s Landing. At Truman’s Landing there will be a free shuttle for fans to and from the arena.

Cars on Lots O will be asked to be moved to Lots M and N. If this does not happen, the cars will be towed, according to the university.

Admission to the game is one and a half hours before the game starts.

According to the Mizzou Arena Guide, noisemakers, strollers, and outdoor food and beverage takeout are not permitted at Mizzou Arena. Re-entry is also not permitted.

Pockets from the outside are not desired. However, guests bringing bags must adhere to the bag policy and only use clear bags and small clutches.

Beginning in 1907, the Tigers and Jayhawks played 267 games against each other until Mizzou left the Big 12 in 2012. However, by mutual agreement, the rivalry was rekindled for the 2021 to 2026 seasons.

MU and KU faced each other in a total of 270 games, with Kansas holding a 175-95 edge over the Tigers. The last time the Tigers beat the Jayhawks was in 2021 at Mizzou Arena.
