Our favorite game for NFL holiday games

Thanksgiving is here and with it comes two things: celebrations and football. There are few traditions as good as piling up a plate full of turkey, stuffing, potatoes and more while watching the NFL action on the big screen.

The games begin with the Detroit Lions hosting the Chicago Bears in a battle of NFC North opponents. Chicago has come up short against the Packers and Vikings in recent weeks, but now faces the hottest team in the NFL. In the afternoon there will be another classic divisional duel with the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys before the Green Bay Packers host the Miami Dolphins at the end of the day.

There are many exciting players that make these games a fun experience. If you’re looking for another way to stay in touch with the NFL’s Thanksgiving slate, here’s a four-part combo of all three games:

Lions WR Jameson Williams OVER 47.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Over the last two weeks, the Bears’ pass defense has kept their opponent’s top wide receivers in check. Against the Vikings, Justin Jefferson only had two catches for 27 yards. Against the Packers, Jayden Reed only managed two catches for 23 yards.

While these top players were thwarted, others shined. Minnesota’s Jordan Addison had eight catches for a career-high 162 yards, and Green Bay’s Christian Watson also had four catches for a career-high 150 yards. Williams fits the player profile of these two vertical outside receivers. The Bears defense could turn to Amon-Ra St. Brown in the passing game, allowing Williams to easily surpass that yardage total.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. all-time TD scorer (+130)

The quarterback duel in this game will be Drew Lock versus Cooper Rush. Not exactly a duo of productive passers.

Instead, both teams could lean on the ground game in a short week. Tracy Jr. struggled against Tampa Bay last week with just nine carries for 42 yards, four catches for 28 yards and a lost fumble. Prior to this game, the rookie running back had scored three touchdowns in his last five games. The Cowboys have one of the worst run defenses in the league. Tracy Jr. should get a chance to score.

Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith OVER 47.5 yards (-115)

On a team with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, it’s Jonnu Smith who leads the team in catches (15) and yards (188) combined over the last two games. These two wideouts put a strain on opposing defenses and leave plenty of room for Smith to act as a check-down option in the passing game.

The Packers have allowed 62 yards per game to opposing tight end groups over the last four games. Smith can absolutely hit the over in this game, as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa can rely on him more for check downs in frigid temperatures.

Packers RB Josh Jacobs OVER 74.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Jacobs had a season-best 26 carries for 106 yards and three rushing touchdowns against the San Francisco 49ers last week. The Dolphins have one of the better pass defenses in the league and with last week’s game script, Green Bay should continue to prioritize the ground game at home. Even if he doesn’t get as many runs as he did last week, at this total he can get enough to reach the over.
