Alabama football likely to lose veteran WR to transfer portal: report

After Alabama football was eliminated from the College Football Playoff, the news in the transfer portal had to come fast and furious. This is why Kendrick Law is reportedly planning to enter the portal. according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Law is one of three wide receivers who want to leave Alabama so far. Kobe Prentice and Caleb Odom are also reportedly on their way out of Tuscaloosa via the transfer portal.

The portal opens to undergraduate players on Monday. Entry remains open for 20 days.

Law spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide, joining as a 2021 recruit. He started four games this season alongside Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard and played in 10 of UA’s 12 games.

The junior suffered some injury issues in 2024. He finished the regular season with 10 catches for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Law earned praise from Alabama’s coaches for his vigorous attempt to block runs.

“Kendrick has really developed into our enforcer at the position,” Alabama wide receivers coach JaMarcus Shephard said in August. “I’m very proud of the fact that the group really blocks on the perimeter and is violent when blocking, but has great technique.”

Even though Alabama was eliminated from the playoffs in favor of SMU, the season isn’t quite over yet. The Crimson Tide will play Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl, the game was announced Sunday.

The Crimson Tide and Wolverines kick off in Tampa on December 31st at 11 a.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
