LOUD. YES YES. NOT YET. RIGHT. You know, the weather was really in our favor today. GORGEOUS WEATHER TODAY, STORM TOMORROW. TOMORROW THE WEATHER LOOKS REALLY WET ACROSS MOST OF THE AREAS. Half an inch to an inch of rainfall. We’re talking about the extreme drought. Keep in mind that drought affects an extreme portion of about 27% of the state. SO WE CAN USE THIS RAINFALL. OF COURSE IT’S JUST A BAD TIME, because it hits us on Thanksgiving Day and stays there for most of the day. It’s not just rain. We’re looking at about an inch thick layer of snowfall, moving 1 to 3 inches from FITCHBURG towards Orange and extending right through the Berkshires, actually into the northern Berkshires, into Vermont and into some of those higher elevations . THE GREEN MOUNTAINS, WHITE MOUNTAINS. We could see six to even twelve inches of snowfall. AND SOME OF THE HIGHEST PEAKS ARE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LIKE SNOWBOARDING OR SKIING, YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW IT’S THE WEEKEND, I KNOW THERE’S A BIG SKI WEEKEND AND WE’RE GOING TO LOOK AT A NICE, FRESH POWDER ON THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN PEAKS. WE ARE IN THE 30’S FOR MOST SUBSURBS, NOW 44 IN BOSTON. AT THIS MOMENT YOU CAN SEE THAT PORTSMOUTH IS HOLDING THE 40 DEGREE MARKER. WE HAVE CLOUDS JUST RUNNING IN FROM THE WEST, BUT THE SHOWERS are just starting to paint the skies over Pennsylvania and that will move further east. So for us, First Drops, I would say 3:00 a.m. is an early arrival for this storm. And so we have to pay attention to places that fall below freezing. As we move northwest toward BOSTON, there’s a chance of a few slick spots tomorrow morning before the storm really starts to strengthen. LOW TO MID 30S IN AND AROUND BOSTON AND THEN A LITTLE WARMER TOWARD CAPE COD. AND THAT WILL BE THE CASE TOMORROW OUR TEMPERATURES HERE WILL SWING FROM 50°C TOWARD THE CAPE AND ISLANDS, 40°C IN AND AROUND BOSTON WILL FEEL COOL AND SMOKE. And then 30 seconds further northwest where we’re talking about snow that could actually stay put. IT IS 3 AM HERE. The first side of the storm is approaching but will really start to calm down after sunrise. Then it gets really wet. HERE. The downpours will begin to develop as the storm peaks around midday into the afternoon. So you can see that 11 to 4 will probably be the peak. AFTER 4:00. We’re seeing things weaken and we’re still seeing signs of showers, but not quite as strong. AT THIS TIME AT 6 PM IT IS COLDER SO WE PUSH THE SNOW A LITTLE FURTHER EASTWARD ON ROUTE TWO. Be careful, if you are in places like Gardner where it is wet all day, you suddenly see it snowing at the end of the storm. We dry out here at 8pm at 9am. By our Friday morning it was completely dry. BUT IT WILL BE MUCH COLDER ON THE SMALL SIDE. There are a few nifty spots you should pay attention to. The remaining moisture on our roads could freeze Friday morning. AND THE COLD AIR WILL STAY. IT’S JUST GETTING COLDER. HERE IS THE TRAVEL OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY MORNING. It’s more like heading west on 495 through much of WORCESTER COUNTY and into the Berkshires, where of course we’re talking about the snow that sticks to the ground. HERE IS THE FORECAST FOR YOUR SEVEN DAYS OF LOTS OF SUN. So it’s a dry outlook, but boy, it’s a cold outlook. DECEMBER STARTS IN THE 1930S ON SUNDAY.
