5 notes against the Raiders

5 notes against the Raiders

1. Tampa Bay has recorded three of its five highest rushing total games this season in the last three weeks (157 yards in Week 12, 236 yards in Week 13 and 152 yards in Week 14). The Bucs’ three consecutive games of 150 or more yards and at least one rushing touchdown are the longest such streak in franchise history. Tampa Bay averaged 5.8 yards per carry against the Raiders, their fourth-highest in a game this year. This season, Tampa Bay is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, the third-best average in the NFL.

2. Running back Rachaad White scored two touchdowns and eclipsed 100 scrimmage yards in Sunday’s win over the Raiders, adding a season-high 90 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on a season-high 17 carries (5.3 avg.) while throwing two Receptions for 19 added yards and a score. It was White’s third career multi-touchdown game, but the first in which he scored on the ground and through the air. White joins San Francisco’s Christian McCaffrey as the only players to score more than 10 rushing touchdowns and more than 10 receiving touchdowns since the start of the 2022 season.

3. Rookie receiver Jalen McMillan delivered a season-high performance on Sunday, hauling in four receptions while setting new season highs in receiving yards (59) and receiving touchdowns (two). McMillan became the first Tampa Bay rookie to score multiple touchdowns in a single game since OJ Howard did so against the Buffalo Bills in week seven of the 2017 season.

4. Linebacker Lavonte David collected a team-high seven tackles (one for a loss), 1.0 sack, a quarterback hit and a fumble recovery. David’s fumble recovery marked the 19th of his career – the most by any player since David entered the league in 2012. With his sack on Sunday, David increased his season sack total to 4.0 and his career sack total to 37 ,5.

5. First-year safety Tykee Smith recorded three tackles, two passes defensed and one interception in Sunday’s win over Las Vegas, marking his second interception of 2024. Smith is one of three players with two or more interceptions and three or more forced fumbles this season, along with Atlanta’s Jessie Bates III and San Francisco’s Fred Warner.
