Chiefs announce anthem singers for Sunday Night Football vs. Chargers

The Chiefs are gearing up for an outstanding AFC West showdown with the Chargers on Sunday Night Football and have just announced exciting pre-game festivities at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City legend Tamba Hali will be inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor, with nearly 100 former players joining in honor. He will serve as drummer while retired U.S. Navy Petty Officer First Class General Wilson will sing the national anthem.

A native of St. Louis, Wilson is known for his impressive singing abilities.

It will be an amazing sight for Chiefs fans to cheer on Hali once again. He spent his entire 12-year career with the organization, recording 596 tackles, 89.5 sacks, 33 forced fumbles, 16 passes deflected and eight fumble recoveries in 177 games.

This is a well-deserved honor for one of the best players in franchise history. Kansas City leads Los Angeles by 3.5 points and needs to win to stay in the race for the AFC’s No. 1 seed ahead of Buffalo.

Things won’t be easy as Jim Harbaugh makes the Chargers look like contenders in his first year with the team. The Chiefs won 17-10 in Los Angeles earlier this season and are legitimate favorites, but should still be prepared for a dogfight.

Luckily, the audience will be in the mood after honoring Hali and a great rendition of the anthem from Wilson. Hopefully the pre-game fun will lead the crowd and the Chiefs to a convincing win in Week 14.
