The Taylor Sheridan hits keep coming. “Landman” reached 14.6 million multiplatform viewers worldwide in its first seven days on Paramount+ and in its linear premiere, TheWrap has exclusively learned. Based on households, this is the biggest global premiere week ever for a Paramount+ original.

Additionally, “Landman” reached 2.4 million domestic households in its second week, up 60% from the previous week. This metric was determined by comparing the first day of Week 1 of Landman to the first day of Week 2. These numbers are based on internal data from Paramount+, which measured average minute viewership for the show’s first seven days as well as for all linear renditions of “Landman” (the linear metrics, which were not broken out separately, were measured by VideoAmp).

This continues a massive fall season for MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions. It all started with “Yellowstone” – the second half of season five reached 21 million live viewers in the US over three days, making its return the most-watched episode of “Yellowstone” to date. According to VideoAmp, premiere night alone saw a total of 16.4 million viewers, a 3% increase over Season 5, Part 1.

This was followed by the second season of “Lioness,” which reached 12.4 million viewers worldwide across all platforms. This number took into account viewing on Paramount+, where the series premiered on October 27, as well as linear previews that took place the week of November 10, and reflects Paramount’s internal global data.

The Sheridan and Christian Wallace drama stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, the titular landman for an oil company in the boomtowns of West Texas. According to a series press release, the series will be a “modern story about finding fortune in the world of oil rigs” and is based on the 11-part podcast “Boomtown” from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly. In addition to Thornton, the series stars Demi Moore, Jon Hamm and Michael Peña, who appears in a guest role.

New episodes of “Landman” stream every Sunday exclusively on Paramount+.
