Well, dear Wordlers, Monday has returned. The weekend flew by, as short as it was. That’s how it works. However, there really isn’t much time left until the Christmas holidays. There certainly isn’t much time to do all that Christmas shopping. I am a last minute buyer. I really don’t like gift giving days. I like to give gifts, but I tend to be spontaneous. When I actually have to sit down and think of a gift, it can be really difficult for me.

Anyway, let’s make this Wordle!

Word analysis

Every day I look at Wordle Bot to analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here.

This was a bit difficult for me today, although I was pretty lucky. With CLOUD I only had 28 words left and I wanted to guess a second word with “A” but I really couldn’t think of anything useful so I went with FLUSH (I’ve been thinking about poker since we had it). (Last game night we played poker) and that got me three green boxes. But I still couldn’t think of so many words, so I tried narrowing it down using GNOME (even though the “O” was already missing), and that actually worked quite well. Only FLUNG remained. But Wordle Bot told me that if Wordle had been FLUTE, there would have been two possible solutions left after GNOME. Good thing it wasn’t FLUTE, what a coincidence that would have been!

Today’s Wordle etymology
