The Seahawks’ rushing attack results in long distance against the Cardinals

In two previous losses and even before that, the Arizona Cardinals had primarily a good run defense. Then came Sunday when the Seattle Seahawks beat the Cardinals with 176 rushing yards, 134 of which came from Seahawks backup Zach Charbonnet.

The Seahawks gained 409 total yards of offense, and although the Cardinals only allowed six points in the second half, losing a crucial divisional game and falling further behind the first-place Seahawks, who have a two-game lead over, was not a moral victory the Cardinals with a win over the teams’ season series in hand.

In the previous four games, two wins followed by two losses, the Cardinals had a net rushing yardage total of 69 against the Chicago Bears, 79 against the New York Jets (both at home), 65 in a loss at Seattle two weeks and 68 last week in a bitter loss to the Minnesota Vikings. On Sunday, the Seahawks, without their leading rusher Kenneth Walker III (calf injury), beat the Cardinals for the fourth-most rushing yards allowed by Arizona in a game this season.
